What the actual question is and whether we can help.
A recommendation from a company that also resells the product is not advice, it is a quote with extra steps. We sell no software, hold no reseller agreements, and take no commission from anyone.
We recommend; we do not resell. Legal questions on data protection go to a solicitor or the ICO.

We resell nothing and hold no reseller agreements, so no recommendation we make earns us anything from a supplier. We are also not a law firm: our data protection work is operational — records, retention, suppliers, incident readiness — and legal questions, lawful basis decisions and regulatory correspondence belong with a solicitor or the ICO. We do not act as your data protection officer unless separately appointed in writing.
No, and we hold no reseller agreements and take no commission. It is the main reason to use an independent consultant rather than a supplier's pre-sales team.
On the practical side, yes — records, retention, supplier terms, incident readiness. Legal advice on lawful basis or regulatory correspondence needs a solicitor, and we will say so rather than guessing.
Sometimes, and often less than expected once the parallel running period is costed. We will give you a realistic figure rather than the vendor's.
We plan and advise. Implementation is usually better done by your own team or a supplier, and keeping those separate is part of staying independent.
Typically four to eight weeks. Rushing it means buying on a demonstration, which is how organisations end up migrating again in two years.
Only if separately appointed in writing. It is a defined role with statutory duties, not something to assume by implication.
